. MANSFIELD. Isabelle Susie Mans- field, 91, formerly of Chebeague Island, Maine, died Saturday (Oct. 17) in a Suffield nursing home. Born on Chebeague Island, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary Elizabeth Bryan Webber. She attended Island schools, and was a graduate of Chebeague Island High School. Mrs. Mansfield was a member of the Chebeague Island Grange, was a very active member of the Chebeague Island United Methodist Church, and did sewing for the Ladies Aid. She had worked for L.L. Bean and other sporting goods stores as a fly tier. As a nurse's aid, Mrs. Mansfield provided home health care for many area families. Her husband, Harry L. Mansfield predeceased her in 1950; her daughter, Katherine Lam in 1988, and a grandson, Edward Lam, also predeceased her. Surviving are a son, Frank D. Mansfield, with whom she made her home for several years in Vernon; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 12-2 p.m., at the Chebeague Island United Methodist Church, where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the Chebeague Island Cemetery, under the direction of Hay & Peabody, Portland. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Chebeague Island United Methodist Church, the Chebeague Island Grange No. 576, or the Steven Ross Scholarship Fund.
