Memorial services for Mark Burgess, 53, of Rockdale will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Burgess died Friday, March 30, in his home in Rockdale.
He was born April 19, 1958, in Rockdale to James Edward and Theena Nell (Rudder) Burgess.
Mr. Burgess was a graduate of Rockdale High School.
He married Sherry Janell Shaw on June 30, 1978, in Cameron.
Mr. Burgess was a life-long Rockdale resident and worked as an equipment operator for Luminant for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Sherry Burgess of Rockdale; a son, Justin Burgess and wife Lisa; a daughter, Annissa Burgess and boyfriend John of Rockdale; a sister, Shelly Burgess of Rockdale; and a grandchild, Lilly Clark.
