Mrs. Dorothy McClain Dies At Her Home Sunday Morning

Funeral Services Wednesday Afternoon


Mrs. Dorothy Elizabeth McClain, 37, died unexpectedly at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at her home in Columbia township. The cause of her death, as determined by an autopsy by J. R. Roth, M. D., Whitley County Coroner, was a cerebral hemorrhage and leukemia.

Mrs. McClain was a native of Warsaw and has lived in Columbia township for the past year. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Women of the Moose at Warsaw, and attended the Oak Grove Church of God. She has held all of the offices of the Women of the Moose at Warsaw.

She is survived by her husband, Perry W. McClain; one son, Dennis Hover, Warsaw; two daughters Myra Hover and Susan Hover, both of Warsaw; four brothers, Reid Woodling, Warsaw; George Woodling, Warsaw; Marion Woodling, Warsaw and Robert Woodling, U. S. Coast Guard stationed at Almeda California; and three sisters, Mrs. Dale Bauer, Warsaw; Mrs. Chester Miller, Mentone, and Mrs. Paul Vermillion, Warsaw.

The body was taken to the J. A. DeMoney and Son Funeral Home where friends may call after 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Hubert Miller of the Oak Grove Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.
