He was born in Edmondson County, KY., was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, he was a Truck Driver and a member of the Fairdale United Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Dimmie and Dora Cox, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

His wife: Audrey Marlene Cox; son: Paul Wendell Cox; daughters: Karen Sue McAuliffe(Mark), Lisa Dawn Cox, Cathy Lynn Ford(Mark); brother: Buel L. Cox; and 2 Granddaughters.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 11 AM Thursday November 6, 2014 at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville(1846 E. Oak St. ) with burial in the Indiana Veterans Cemetery in Madison, IN.
