BOBBY JEROME TANNER 70, of Paris, passed away at 3:40 PM, Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. Bobby lost his battle with cancer after a courageous six year fight. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 7, 2014 at Evergreen Cemetery with David McAllister providing the eulogy. No formal visitation hour will be observed. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

Bobby was born November 27, 1943 in Magdalena, Socorro County, New Mexico the son of Ara Gurdine and Juanita Williams Tanner. He graduated from Powderly High School and married the love of his life, Sheryl Jo Shrum on August 20, 1964. He worked as a knitting supervisor for Munsingwear until they closed and retired from We Pack in 2005. Bobby served in the National Guard.

Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and faithful friend. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Sheryl Tanner of Paris; daughter, Sheila Renee Wilson and her husband Michael of Dallas; grandson, Benjamin Lewis McAllister and wife, Tiffany of Paris; great-grandchildren, Brianna McAllister of Princeton, Austin Parish and Mason Kelley of Paris; and a sister-in-law, Emma Duke and husband Bobby of Bartonville. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eddie Norman Tanner; and great-grandson, Kyle Woodrow McAllister.
