Mae Tom Lee-Hughes July 7, 1930 - Nov. 2, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Mrs. Mae Tom Hughes, 84, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2014, in her home. Mae was born to the union of Andrew Lee and Mary Lou (Singleton) Lee on July 7, 1930, in Vance, Mississippi. Mae was a faithful member of New Life Fellowship Ministry. She loved family gatherings and traveling. She also loved to play bingo and was active in many bowling leagues, where she received many trophies of recognition. She was an employee of Ziker Cleaners from which she retired after several years of employment. Mae leaves to cherish her loving memory a son, Huephert Jones; and daughter, Vivian Harris, both of South Bend; a sister-in-law, Frances Lee; grandchildren: Demetrius Jones, Vivian Jones, Jaton Hughes and Shannon Dwann Boyd, all of South Bend; fourteen step-grandchildren and numerous great-grand-children; two nieces, who were caregivers for Mae, Mary Griffin and Klaudette Jones; along with a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mary Lou Lee; a son, Charles Hughes; two sisters: Mylinda Jones and Dorthareetha Newell; and four brothers: Demyers Lee, Ed Willie Lee, William Henry Lee and Melvin Lee. Funeral services for Mrs. Mae Tom Lee-Hughes will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014, in the Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home, 2702 Lincoln Way West, South Bend.
