He was a Republican Committeeman, Shenango Twp, 1950-1951; member of the state House of Representatives, 1956-1964; and elected to the state Senate, 1966. He married Cornelia E. Anderson. The senator died at Pulaski, Lawrence County, April 27, 1988.
