Jason Allen Woods, of Aiken, SC, left this world on eagles’ wings November 4, 2014. Isaiah 40:29-31.

Born in Augusta, Georgia on October 8, 1976, he was the son of Etta Catherine Woods and W. Allen Woods.

Jason graduated from Barnwell High School and attended the University of South Carolina and Johnson and Wales University. He was a true GAMECOCK fan.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, Etta of Blackville, SC and father, W. Allen and his wife Becky of Edisto Island, SC, are his precious daughter, Ella Catherine, son, Evan and their mother, Melissa Cash Armstrong of Aiken, SC; maternal grandmother, Nell Parker of North Augusta; great-aunt, Elizabeth “Peg” Woods of Hampton, SC; and many beloved cousins. Jason was greatly loved by his step-brother and step-sisters, Tripp and Lindsay Ewers, Ashley Hyer and Mimi Solomon and their families.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, L.D. Parker; paternal grandparents, Doris Bowers Woods Bishop and Wilfred Harding Woods; and paternal step-grandfather, Walter Hugo Bishop.

Funeral services will be held at 3 pm, November 7, 2014 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel, with interment following in Hampton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 pm until the hour of service at the funeral home.
