Mary Lou, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, was called home to be with our Lord on Sunday, November 2, 2014, after a fierce 18-month battle with breast cancer.
Mary Lou was a life-long resident of Barstow and worked as a dispatcher for the California Highway Patrol for 32 years. Mary Lou will be remembered most for the incredible love she had for her grandchildren. She also had a passion for crafts, Disneyland, and confetti in her Christmas cards.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Padilla Jr. of Barstow; two daughters and their husbands, Adam and Doreen Chuhaloff, and Dennis and Dolores Lopez; and three grandchildren, Peyton, Noah, and Levi; her parents, Hector and Patricia Barron of Barstow; three brothers and their wives.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jacob-Michael Anthony Padilla.
Services will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Barstow. Visitation will be at 8:45 a.m., Rosary at 9:30 a.m., Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., followed by a graveside burial at Mountain View Memorial Park, Barstow, California.
