Surrounded by the family who loved her dearly, Norma L. Stanley answered the Lord’s call home and joined the hosts of Heaven on Tuesday, November 4, 2014.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Lakeview United Methodist Church with Rev. Ryan Strebeck, Pastor - Lakeview United Methodist Church officiating. Services provided by Horizon Funeral, Cremation, and Memorial Services – Dalhart, TX
Norma Lee Payne was born August 16, 1926 in Dalhart, Texas to Clarence and Nora (Rolen) Payne. Norma was raised and educated in Dalhart and on July 31, 1943 she married Kenneth Stanley.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth of Dalhart, TX, her daughters: Janelle Michael and husband Andy of Channing, TX, D’Lisa Turner and husband Scott of Annandale, VA, grandsons: Ranger Turner of Annandale, VA, and Justin Condra of Austin, TX. A granddaughter – Nikki Turner of Annandale, VA.
Norma is preceded in death by two sons: Richard Glen Stanley and Bobby Dwayne Stanley as well as her parents, and six brothers: Floyd, Loyd, Boyd, Sanford, LC and Lawrence Payne.
To her family and friends, Norma epitomized a woman of grace and truth. She greeted everyone around her with a warm smile, compassion and a servant’s heart. She lived a life of sacrificial love and was a joy to be around. Many laughs were shared at the table of delicious food and domino games. Above all she maintained a Godly walk, proving daily what the Proverbs 31 woman looked like:…..the heart of her husband trusts in her…. and her children rise up to bless her!!!
