WILLIAM C. RUCKER, 82, of Auburn, Indiana, died Friday October 7, 2011 at Laurels of Dekalb in Butler, Indiana.
He was born on April 16, 1929 in Champaign County, Ohio, the son of the late William E. and Josephine (Hart) Rucker. On March 25, 1950, he was united in marriage with Lola Davis and she survives. William retired in 1991 after 25 years at General Electric. He was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club, Hicksville Eagles Aerie 2556.
William is survived by his wife Lola,a son; four daughters; eight grandchildren, (11) great grandchildren, two step grandchildren, a sister Mary Louise (Carl) Verro of Auburn, Indiana and a brother Robert (Sharon) Rucker of Columbia City, Indiana.
Funeral services for William will be Tuesday at 11:00 at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, Ohio with Pastor Kevin Marsh of the Butler United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00-5:00 and 6:00-8:00 with an Eagles service at 7:00 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be in Newville Cemetery.
