John Robert Samples, age 88 of Monroe, GA. passed away, Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Graveside Services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Monroe, GA. Rev. Ellen Robison will officiate. Born on September 18, 1926 in Ravenwood, WV to Ressie Owen Samples and Macil Jones Samples, Mr. Samples served in the U. S. Navy two years and graduated from Georgia Tech in 1945 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked at Union Carbide in Charleston, WV for over 30 years. Mr. Samples is survived by his sister & brother-in-law, Ramona & Wesley M. Robison; nieces, Molly & David Wesley, Rev. Ellen Robison, Ruth Robison, Great Nephews, David Christian Wesley, and Daniel Robison Wesley. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of your choice.
