She was born June 9, 1920, the daughter of John Olander and Lulu (Moore) Johnson, both of whom preceded her in death.
She was married to Roger Cole, whom she met in high school. He preceded her in death in 1998.
She is survived by daughters, Jean (Bill) Davis, of Chesterton, Madeline (Kenneth) Hoffman, of Kokomo, Rogetta (Thomas) Urbanus, of Chesterton; a son, Roger (Debbie) Cole, of Hamburg, N.Y.; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; a sister, Eda Conners of Yorbalinda, Calif., many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by life-long friends, Mary Christensen and Mary Popovich.
She was preceded in death by a son, James; sisters, Hilda Chellberg, Anne Henry, Sylvia Poparad, Claudia Herbst and Madeline Johnson.
Hannahbelle was a 1939 graduate of Liberty Center High School. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and worked as a cook for Liberty Twp. Schools and Whispering Pines Nursing Home.
She was also active in the Chesterton Women of the Moose, was a former 4-H Leader and Den Mother. She enjoyed sports, especially the Chicago Cubs and enjoyed keeping up with current events.
Funeral services, Pastor Jane Aicher officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 13 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2050 W. 1100N in Chesterton Interment will be in Chesterton Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton. Memorials may be given to Life Care the Willows, or to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
