Tammy Faye James May, 47 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 at CMC - NorthEast in Concord.

Tammy was born April 14, 1967 in Mecklenburg County to Harvey Walter James, Jr. and Linda Faye Blanchette James of Albemarle.

The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Tony Thomas, was follow at 1:00 pm in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her beloved companion, Minnie Moo; and her brothers, Chadwick Walter James of Albemarle, and Travis James and wife Brandy of New London; nephews, Jesse and Colton James of New London; uncles, David James and wife Sandra, Ricky James, and Tom Blanchette and wife Joy; aunts, Becky Stegall and husband Barry, Jane Gaetano and husband Barry, and Debbie Rape; and numerous cousins.

Tammy had a true heart, and was considerate of others. She loved going fishing with her best friend, Cookie Steel, and enjoyed going to the beach. She was a devoted aunt, and loved spending time with her nephews, Jesse and Colton.
