--- The funeral of the late Gilbert Congdon, which was solemnized yesterday, was very largely attended by relatives, friends and acquaintances. Remarks were made at the house by Gertrude Cartland, Sarah Reynolds, Elizabeth Meader, of this city, and Samuel Boyce of Lynn, all ministers of the Society of Friends, and by Rev. Marshall B. Smith of Philadelphia, a brother of the bereaved widow of the deceased.The remains were entombed in the Friends' Burying Ground, Messrs. R. H. Ives, James Y. Smith, William A. Robinson, Thomas Harkness, Moses B. Lockwood, and Joseph Cartland, acting as pall-bearers.
