Harold C. Paulson was born Sept. 4, 1916 near Leeds to John & Julia Paulson. He helped his father farm until graduating from Leeds High School in 1935. He attended Interstate Business College in Fargo. He married Esther L. Sollin Jan. 2, 1940 in Minot. He was employed for many years as a service manager of various Ford & GMC dealerships in North Dakota & Montana, including Gronvold Motor Co. in Rugby. He later owned H. Paulson Construction Co. of Fargo. He was an independent building contractor & cabinet maker in the Fargo area for more than 25 years.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fargo for many years & was a member of the Fargo Eagles Club.
Survivors include Esther L. Paulson of Rochester, Minn.; 3 sons, Harley Paulson of Park City, Utah, John Paulson of Gig Harbor, Wash. & Loren Paulson of Littleton, Colo.; a daughter, Mrs. Grant (Marilyn) Boodwine of Preston, Minn.; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; & 3 sisters, Mrs. Arnold (Cora) Nestegard of Leeds, Mrs. J.F. (Lorraine) Whitehead of Ildsmor, Fla. & Francis Carlson of Anoka, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Melvin, Victor & Claire; & a son, Donald M. Paulson.
