William Lloyd Thompson, was served with the RCAF in WWII and lost his life when his plane, Halifax HR692 10 Squadron crashed at Horst near Cafe "de Oude Lint"... Shot down by Oblt. Manfred Meurer of the 3./NJG 1, flying a Bf 110 from Venlo airfield.
