Vickers Wellington Bomber Z8867 of No23 Operational Training Unit took off from RAF Stradishall, Haverhill, Suffolk, England as part of the second thousand bomber raid on Essen. The aircraft was hit by flak and crashed at Heer (Limburg), Holland. All five crew members were killed and at first were buried at Venlo. They were all exhumed and reburied at Jonkerbos War Cemetery.

Reginald Scriven.
David Robert Stuart.
