SGT. PILOT WESLEY MOREY,
20, son of Guy Morey of 5139 Decarie boulevard, who was reported missing after air action over Duisburg, Germany, last May, is now for official purposes presumed dead, according to today's casualty list. The only Canadian in his R.A.F. plane, Sgt. Morey was one of the crew of seven reported missing. Two bodies of his crew members were picked up off the Dutch coast last summer and buried in Holland.
Born in Lachine, Sgt. Morey was educated at Cowansville. He enlisted with the R.C.A.F. in September, 1941, and after training at Fingal, Ont., he received his wings at Saskatoon in July, 1942, going overseas a week later. He was posted to the R.A.F. in England.
A brother of Sgt. Morey, Pte. Stanley Morey has been overseas three years with the Canadian Tank Corps, and served in Sicily and Italy with the Eight Army. The two brothers are the grandsons of Mrs. Helen Morey of Brigham, Que.
