Shelia Janine Cook Taylor, 48, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at her home.

She was born on September 6, 1965, in Kennett, Missouri, and is the daughter of Weldon Mobley and Elaine Mobley.

She was united in marriage to Mark Taylor on November 12, 2011.

Shelia worked for the State of Arkansas Department of Human Services/Division of Children and Family Services for almost 25 years. Her passion was working with and helping the families and children of Clay County and working with Area 8 foster parents. She was an avid Cardinal's and Mohawk's fan and was an excellent Scrabble player. Above all, she loved being a mother to Joshua and wife to Mark.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Rob Welborn officiating. Burial is in Williams Cemetery near Piggott, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation begins Saturday at 10:00 a.m. until service time.
