BURKE, C. WORCESTER GRAHAM WO2 (Bomb Aimer) R/95765. From Washington, D.C., U.S.A. Killed in Action Apr 8, 1943 age 20. #425 Alouette Squadron (Je Te Plumerai). Wellington aircraft lost. Please see Schulz O.E. for casualty list and flight detail. Warrant Officer Class II Bomb Aimer Burke is buried in the Jonkerbos War Cemetery, Nijmegen, Holland. BURKE, DAVID WARNOCK P/O(P) J86415//R52276. From Hamilton, Ontario. Killed in Action Mar 31/44 age 25. #640 Squadron. Halifax aircraft #LW 500 was shot down by a German flak ship off Dieppe, France during a trip to Nuremberg, Germany. Six RAF members of the crew were also killed. This was P/O Burke’s fourth operation and his was one of 108 Allied aircraft lost this night. Pilot Officer Pilot Burke has no known grave, his name is inscribed on the Runnymede War Memorial, Englefield Green, Egham, Surrey, England.
