When Theodore D. Daniel was born in November 1860 in Fort Osage, Missouri, his father, Robert, was 32 and his mother, Phebe, was 24. He had two sons with Mattie C. Stephens between 1885 and 1887, Thomas Clyde and James Clarence. He died as an inmate on the County Poor Farm on October 8, 1929, in Grayson, Texas, at the age of 68, and was buried in the Brogdon/Overton Cemetery, NW of Pottsboro, Texas. Note: Some of his records say J. D. Daniel instead of T. D., probably because of the way he wrote his J. looked like a T.
