Bob D. Wallace, Sr. 77, of Grove, OK and formerly of Gardner, KS, passed away November 1, 2014 in Joplin, MO. Funeral Services will be held 2:30 pm Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Bruce Funeral Home (913) 856-7111. Burial follows in Gardner Cemetery. Visitation before the service at 1:00 pm. Bob was born February 25, 1937 in Holmes Park, MO to Bennie and Opal (Collins) Wallace. He graduated from Olathe High School in 1956. Bob married Gail Ebeck on Nov. 15, 1969 in Overland Park, KS. He began working for a plastic molding company in 1969 and retired in 1996 as the plant manager. Bob and Gail owned the Huff-n-Puff cigarette store from Aug. 1992 to Sept 2005. Bob had many hobbies including: leather crafting, model airplanes, skeet shooting, Harley motorcycles, pool and gambling. He also enjoyed boating and summertime parties on the deck, especially on the Fourth of July. He will be missed by family and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Opal and brother, Glenn Wallace. He is survived by his wife of 44 years; children: Mary and husband Albert Morrone of North Port, FL, Bobbie Wallace, Jr. of Belle Plains, IA, Karen and husband Mike Casey of Gardner, KS, Lori Albers of Olathe, KS, Angie and husband Rob Anderson of Paola, KS; 11 grandchildren: Kylie Stuart, Lexie Casey, Kelsey Stuart, Michael Casey, Lauren Burk, Bobbie Burk, Eileen Ewers, Rome Wallace, Buck Frechin, Lisa Pitcher and Alex Camp and four great-grandchildren with one on the way.
