Denise Hughes, 55, a life long Rushville resident, passed away November 1, 2014 in Indianapolis.
She was born May 23, 1959 in Rushville to Hazel (Wilson) Workman and Dennis Hughes.
Denise was a Rushville Consolidated High School, Class of 1977 graduate.
Denise worked many years for Schnadig Corporation in Rushville and had worked at the Old Hickory Furniture Factory in Shelbyville. She played basketball in high school and was active many years in the Rushville Women's softball league. Denise was a loving friend, mother & grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Deana & husband Kyle Lauderdale of Rushville, brothers, Ronald E. Hughes of Rushville & Danny W. & wife Penny Proffitt of Shelbyville, grandchildren, Icy, Emily & Charles Ramsey, step grandchildren, Charity & Honor Lauderdale and great granddaughter, Karissa Ramsey. Denise is also survived by special friends, Margaret, Sheila, Jesse & Joe Ramsey.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father & sister, Shirley Fussner.
Services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, where friends are welcome to visit from 11 AM until time of service.
Pastor Phil Mitchell will preside and burial will be in the Raleigh Cemetery.
