Joseph J. Samz, 90, died Saturday at Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 12 noon at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Roy Geenen will officiate and burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mishicot.
Mr. Samz was born Dec. 21, 1883, at Mishicot, son of the late Edward and Catherine Trossen Samz. He married Lydia Houle Sept. 14, 1909, at Argonne, Wis. She preceded him in death in 1920. He married Clara Rouiller St. Pierre June 6, 1921, at Manitowoc, moving to Manitowoc in 1945. She preceded him in death in 1966.
Survivors include a son, Vincent, of Manitowoc; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Rita) Skidmore, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Thomas (Angeline) McDonald, of Alexander, Va.; a step-daughter, Mrs. William (Elaine) Fitzgerald, of Manitowoc; three brothers, William, of Denver, Colo., Charles, of Argonne and Oscar, of Manitowoc; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Two daughters, three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, where a wake memorial service will be at 8 p.m.
