Felix identified himself as a laborer, gardener, coachman, and farmer. From the 1860 U.S. Fed. Census (NY)- Felix was married to Mary (Wright) Karney and they were living on Staten Island, New York with their two sons- John L. and Charles C. Karney. Felix was working as a coachman for Chaplain John L. Lenhart.

From 1850 U.S Fed Census (NJ)- Mary (Wright) was born in England and her Adopted Parents were: ( Rev John L. Lenhart ) and ( Ann W. Lenhart ). After Ann Lenhart died in 1860 it seems Mary (Wright) began using the middle name of Ann- Mary Ann (Wright) Karney. Mary Ann's Death Certificate says she was born in Paterson, NJ and her father's name was William Wright.

Felix and ( Mary Ann Karney ) had at least 10 (ten) children.
Felix's daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth (Karney) Leutze, was the informant for his P.A. Death Certificate. She listed her father's occupation as "farmer and gardener" ; "Ireland" as his place of birth, and "Lawrence and Eliza (Johnson) Karney" as his parents. On that certificate; Felix's age was "69 years 11 months 12 days" when he died.
