Graveside services for Vurlie A. Haines, 94, of Salado, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Live Oak Cemetery in Youngsport with James Hudgins officiating.
Mrs. Haines died Oct. 31, 2014, in a Temple care facility. She was born Nov. 28, 1919, in Maud, and moved to Killeen in 1945.
Mrs. Haines graduated from Mary-Hardin Baylor College in 1961 and taught first grade in the Killeen Independent School District for 22 years at the West Ward and Pershing Park schools.
She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority ETA IOTA Chapter, and Salado Church of Christ.
Mrs. Haines was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Earl.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Dunn, of Salado, and Janelle Mudge, of San
Antonio; one grandchild, and two great-grandchildren.
