Roger was born on March 13 1928 in Northfield, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse J. and Mary Jane (England) Blais. Mr. Blais was predeceased by his wife of 46 years Mrs. Ellen (DeVoid) Blais. Mr. Blais was also the father of the late Glenn Blais. Roger is survived by one son Mr. David Blais of Franklin, and also three daughters Mrs. Linda (Blais) Mezzapelle of Sanborton, Ms. Bonnie Blais of Northfield, and Mrs. Tina (Blais) Carey of Sanbornton.Roger also leaves numerous Grand Children, and Great Grandchildren. Mr. Blais also leaves two sisters Mrs. Rita (Blais) Tetreault and Mrs. Annette (Blais) Miller both of Springfield Mr. Blais was also the brother of the late Anslem "Sam" Blais, Mr. Lionel J. Blais, Mr.Alphonse J. Blais, Mr.Ovilla Blais, and Mrs. Germaine (Blais) Lorenz, and Mrs. Rachel (Blais) Ouellette.
Rogers remaining children, grand children and great grandchildren honored him at his gravesite by speaking of him and his lifetime that they had shared with him. All that attended read scriptures from the catholic bible that would have made him proud. He was a catholic and had attended Saint Gabriel’s church thru out his entire lifetime. A Mass on All Saints Day was dedicated to him from Saint Gabriel’s, which was a true testament of him.
He was greatly loved by his true family and friends, and will be sorely missed.
