Mr. Norton, 59, died Thursday, October 30, 2014 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.

Born in Robeson County, NC, January 27, 1955, he was the son of the late William Franklin Norton and Annie Mae Caulder Norton. He was a Wood Craftsman, an Electrician, a Shrimper, and an avid gardner.

Survivors include his sisters and brothers, Missy (William) Carter of Dillon, Betty Martin of St. Pauls, NC, Patricia Norton of Lumberton, NC, Sara (Lee Mac) Locklear of Lumberton, NC, Lillie (Rachon)Rogers of Siler City, NC, William Norton of St. Pauls, NC, Paula (Eric) Tanner of Tarheel, NC, and Richard (Linda) Norton of Catawba, SC; 6 nieces and 8 nephews; family friend, C.C. Thomas; and special canine companion, Mary.
