ELBERT N. TODD

Elbert N. Todd, 77, of Pleasantville, N.J., died
early Monday morning at a New Jersey hospital
after an illness of only a few days.

Mr. Todd was born in Crisfield, Sept. 10, 1894,
a son of Dr. Fred Foster and Fannie Pruitt
Todd. His father, a Son of American Methodist
missionaries who was born in Kien Kiang,
China, came to Crisfield as a young man fresh
out of the University of Maryland to practice
dentistry.

Mr. Todd was an employee for the greater part
of his life with the hotel division of Lippincott-
Leeds Corp. in Atlantic City, N.J.,and had in
recent years been associated with The Carolina
Crest Enterprise on the Boardwalk at Atlantic
City.

Mr. Todd was a member of Immanuel United
Methodist Church in Crisfield. A veteran of
World War I, he lost two sons who were
serving with the armed forces during World
War II.

Besides his wife, Mrs. Lillian Spicer Todd, he
is survived by a sister, Mrs. Louise E. Adams
of Marion, Md.; and a brother. Fred Foster
Todd Jr., of Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

Funeral services were held Thursday morning
at 11:00 a.m. from Bradshaw and Sons
Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dallas W. Butler,
pastor at Immanuel, officiating. Rev. William
G. Boyer, pastor of Marion Baptist Church
assisted.

Interment was in Asbury Cemetery, Crisfield.
