The son of Mr and Mrs James Nelson , he was born Nov. 17 1896 at Columbus Ne. and attended local schools. On Aug. 6, 1917, he was married to Georgia E. Sanson at Marysville Mo., and with the exception of several years , they have made their home in Columbus. At the time of his death, Mr. Nelson was district superintendent of Swift and Company and had been with the company 30 years.
He was a member of the Chritian Science Church and the Odd Fellows and the American War Dads.
He is preceded, and is survived by his wife, two sons, Ronald and Bernard both of Columbus, three daughters, Mrs Phyllis Philips of Ashboro, N.C., Mrs Victoria Merha, and Mrs Nadine Dory, both of Columbus, four grandchildren, two brothers, Walter of San Bernardino, Ca., Andrew of North Platte Ne., and three sisters, Mrs Myrtle DeBoest, Des Moines Ia., Hazel Nelson, Des Moines Ia. and Mrs Frances Crawford, Kansas City, Mo. Funeral services will be held at the Gass Chapel.
