GREENVILLE, Pa. — Dwane R. “Waynie” Wheeler, age 88, passed away Friday morning, Oct. 31, 2014, at St. Paul’s in Greenville, Pa.
He was born Nov. 1, 1925, in Conneaut, Ohio, the son of Kenton and Luceine (Puffer) Wheeler. Mr. Wheeler was a Veteran of the United States Army, and had received his bachelor’s degree from Edinboro State Teachers College.
He later worked for the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad as the Director of Safety and Claims, retiring in 1989. A former Conneaut resident, Mr. Wheeler lived in Greenville since 1971. He enjoyed golfing, cooking, and all spectator sports.
Survivors include his son, Terry Wheeler of Greenville, Pa.; daughter, Debra (Michael) Vey of New Brighton, Pa.; three grandchildren, Steve R. (Ashley) Wheeler of California, Thomas K. (Bryne) Wheeler of Cincinnati, Ohio and Hailey A. Vey of New Brighton, Pa.; daughter-in-law, Arlene C. Wheeler; two great-grandchildren, Arianna S. Wheeler and Lilly I. Wheeler; sister, Jeanne Peterson of North Kingsville, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews and more distant relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edith A. Wheeler; brother Richard; and a sister, Carlie.
Graveside Service will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5th, at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio, with Military Honors conducted by the Conneaut American Legion Cowle Post #151.
Friends may call from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5th, at MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio, which has charge of arrangements.

GREENVILLE, Pa. — Dwane R. “Waynie” Wheeler, age 88, passed away Friday morning, Oct. 31, 2014, at St. Paul’s in Greenville, Pa.
He was born Nov. 1, 1925, in Conneaut, Ohio, the son of Kenton and Luceine (Puffer) Wheeler. Mr. Wheeler was a Veteran of the United States Army, and had received his bachelor’s degree from Edinboro State Teachers College.
He later worked for the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad as the Director of Safety and Claims, retiring in 1989. A former Conneaut resident, Mr. Wheeler lived in Greenville since 1971. He enjoyed golfing, cooking, and all spectator sports.
Survivors include his son, Terry Wheeler of Greenville, Pa.; daughter, Debra (Michael) Vey of New Brighton, Pa.; three grandchildren, Steve R. (Ashley) Wheeler of California, Thomas K. (Bryne) Wheeler of Cincinnati, Ohio and Hailey A. Vey of New Brighton, Pa.; daughter-in-law, Arlene C. Wheeler; two great-grandchildren, Arianna S. Wheeler and Lilly I. Wheeler; sister, Jeanne Peterson of North Kingsville, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews and more distant relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edith A. Wheeler; brother Richard; and a sister, Carlie.
Graveside Service will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5th, at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio, with Military Honors conducted by the Conneaut American Legion Cowle Post #151.
Friends may call from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5th, at MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio, which has charge of arrangements.

GREENVILLE, Pa. — Dwane R. “Waynie” Wheeler, age 88, passed away Friday morning, Oct. 31, 2014, at St. Paul’s in Greenville, Pa.
He was born Nov. 1, 1925, in Conneaut, Ohio, the son of Kenton and Luceine (Puffer) Wheeler. Mr. Wheeler was a Veteran of the United States Army, and had received his bachelor’s degree from Edinboro State Teachers College.
He later worked for the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad as the Director of Safety and Claims, retiring in 1989. A former Conneaut resident, Mr. Wheeler lived in Greenville since 1971. He enjoyed golfing, cooking, and all spectator sports.
Survivors include his son, Terry Wheeler of Greenville, Pa.; daughter, Debra (Michael) Vey of New Brighton, Pa.; three grandchildren, Steve R. (Ashley) Wheeler of California, Thomas K. (Bryne) Wheeler of Cincinnati, Ohio and Hailey A. Vey of New Brighton, Pa.; daughter-in-law, Arlene C. Wheeler; two great-grandchildren, Arianna S. Wheeler and Lilly I. Wheeler; sister, Jeanne Peterson of North Kingsville, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews and more distant relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edith A. Wheeler; brother Richard; and a sister, Carlie.
Graveside Service will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5th, at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio, with Military Honors conducted by the Conneaut American Legion Cowle Post #151.
Friends may call from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5th, at MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio, which has charge of arrangements.

GREENVILLE, Pa. — Dwane R. “Waynie” Wheeler, age 88, passed away Friday morning, Oct. 31, 2014, at St. Paul’s in Greenville, Pa.
He was born Nov. 1, 1925, in Conneaut, Ohio, the son of Kenton and Luceine (Puffer) Wheeler. Mr. Wheeler was a Veteran of the United States Army, and had received his bachelor’s degree from Edinboro State Teachers College.
He later worked for the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad as the Director of Safety and Claims, retiring in 1989. A former Conneaut resident, Mr. Wheeler lived in Greenville since 1971. He enjoyed golfing, cooking, and all spectator sports.
Survivors include his son, Terry Wheeler of Greenville, Pa.; daughter, Debra (Michael) Vey of New Brighton, Pa.; three grandchildren, Steve R. (Ashley) Wheeler of California, Thomas K. (Bryne) Wheeler of Cincinnati, Ohio and Hailey A. Vey of New Brighton, Pa.; daughter-in-law, Arlene C. Wheeler; two great-grandchildren, Arianna S. Wheeler and Lilly I. Wheeler; sister, Jeanne Peterson of North Kingsville, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews and more distant relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edith A. Wheeler; brother Richard; and a sister, Carlie.
Graveside Service will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5th, at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio, with Military Honors conducted by the Conneaut American Legion Cowle Post #151.
Friends may call from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5th, at MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio, which has charge of arrangements.
