Dorothy L. Johnson, 76, of rural Slater, Missouri, died Tuesday, August 19, 2003, at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.

Born Sept. 4, 1926, in Saline County, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Richard C. Borgman and Selma Louise Mette Borgman. On April 8, 1956, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, she married James W. Johnson, who preceded her in death January 8, 1996. She had lived in rural Slater her entire life and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and it's St. Paul's Ladies Aide. She was a homemaker and had worked at Rice Stix garment factory in Slater.

Survivors include two daughters, Lois Jewell (died 10/16/2015) of rural Slater and Linda Johnson (died 3/7/2014) of rural Slater; one son; one sister, Ruby Kiehl (died 2/24/2017) of rural Malta Bend; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Gilbert Borgman.
