Born Sept. 9, 1933, in Pine Grove, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Ivie Klinger Lash.
She was a graduate of Pine Grove High School and had been employed as a seamstress for the former Canoe Mfg. in Pine Grove.
Virginia was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Pine Grove.
Virginia enjoyed attending the monthly breakfast meetings for the Korean War veterans. Every Saturday morning, she would get together at McDonald's with her two uncles, Howard and Richard, and on Sunday, she would go to Buddies with Thelma.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 58 years, Charles J. Reed, on July 23, 2011; a sister, Patsy Bendall; and a brother, John "Jack" Lash.
Surviving are her daughter, Audrey Anspach, Deerfield Beach, Fla.; son, Gary and wife, Michele Reed, Pine Grove; two grandsons, Christopher Reed and Nicholas Reed; two great-granddaughters, Berkeley Reed and Lochlyn Reed; and her beloved cat, Princie.
Services were held at H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with Dr. Richard W. Schoenleber officiating. Interment was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
