Croft, who lived at Haverford, was a candidate for the Republican gubernatorial nomination in 1922 and 1926. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1893 and later became president of the candy manufacturing firm of Croft and Allen. He leaves his widow, three sons and a daughter.
