Mrs. Louise Young Isaac Gilley, 86, passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Gilley was born Feb. 28, 1928 in Berrien County, Georgia to the late Newton Young and Geneva Kirkland Young. She was a homemaker and a member of the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church for 40 plus years and the Ladies Prayer Band. She preceded in death by her first husband: Rayder Isaac; second husband: Lamar Gilley; one daughter: Carol Wetherington; one grandson: Chad; one great grandson: Ethan; one step great grandson: Devin; one brother: Carroll Young and one infant sister.
Survivors are four daughters and sons-in-law: Mary Lou & Duell Stone, Nashville, GA, Patricia & Wayne Jones, Modesto, CA, Wanda & James Delmar Adams, Homerville and Martha & Wendell Booth, Lakeland; one son & daughter-in-law: Rev. Danny & Martha Ann Isaac, Homerville; son-in-law & wife: Quinn & Terri Wetherington, Moultrie; two stepdaughters & step sons-in-law: Wanda & Rev. Jimmy Futch, and Carolyn & Joe Sherrod, all of Homerville; one brother and sister-in-law: Rev. James & Jean Young, Lakeland; one sister: Sara Y. Lucas, Valdosta; fourteen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, five step grandchildren, several step great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
