Jacqueline Lee (Jackie) Blanchard, 57, of Blacksburg, surrounded by friends and family, passed away Friday evening, November 23, 2012, at Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg.
She obtained her Master's degree from California State College, California, Pa., and was a social worker for the state of Kentucky.
She loved animals, art, and horticulture.
Jackie is survived by her mother, Charlotte Koontz Blanchard, of Harrisonburg; her sister, D. Kay Blanchard, of Fredericksburg; and her brother, Thomas W. Blanchard and his wife, Margaret, of Longmont, Colo. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Blanchard.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012, at the Karr Activity Center at Warm Hearth Village, 2603 Warm Hearth Drive, Blacksburg.
