Mr. Sanders, 88, died Friday, October 31, 2014 at his home.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.
Marvin was born June 13, 1926 in Fairfax, Oklahoma; the son of Charles Edward Sanders and Mabel (Routen) Sanders. He came to Artesia in 2006 from Las Cruces, New Mexico.
He served his country in the Unites States Navy during World War II.
Marvin was a salesman for Tisco Fasteners and was of the Methodist denomination. He was a Mason, member of the Elks Lodge, and the Disabled Veteran Administration of WWII.
He was preceded in death by parents; sister Lois Monro; brother David Hart Sanders; and daughter Karey Taylor.
