WATERVILLE, MAINE— Lucille V. (Toulouse) Longley, 94, of Waterville, ME, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME. She was born in Waterville, ME on December 3, 1919, the daughter of the late George and Leah (Boudreau) Toulouse. The family later moved to Oakland, ME where Lucille graduated from Milton-Laforest High School. She married Charles Longley in 1940.

Lucille was employed by American Woolen Company in Fairfield, ME until it closed, the Sanatorium in Fairfield, ME until it closed, was a secretary for Augusta Mental Health Institute, and retired as the head secretary for the Criminal Justice Academy in Waterville, ME. She was a communicant of Corpus Christi Parish in Waterville, ME.

Lucille enjoyed reading and playing cards, but, especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles F. Longley; and her sister, Retha F. Duquette.

Lucille will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Sandra Longley Joy and her husband, Gerald, and Bonnie Longley Gibson and her partner, Ernest Van Den Bossche; her three grandchildren, Gerald and David Joy, and Melanie Hayat; her six great grandchildren, Amanda, Josh, and Samantha Joy, and Isabella, Kierra, and Olivia Romero, and Steven Mess; her sister, Geraldine King; and her nephew, Allie W. King III, and Richard Charles Gurney; and a niece Connie Godin.

Private burial will be held at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, ME.(Morning Sentinel 11/4/2014 & Lawry Brothers Funeral Home)
