Peter was born to Peter and Wilmot Renfree and baptised at St Gluvias on the 25th May 1744. He married Elizabeth Rawling at Budock on the 2nd January 1768, their witnesses were Chas. Job and Peter Renfree. The couple are buried together in the graveyard. Parish records list baptisms for the following of their children Jane (b 1768), Peter (b 1770 died aged 11), Phillip (b 1771 died aged 10), Elizabeth (B 1772), Wilmot (b 1774), Mary (B 1776 died aged 7). Possible other children of theirs are Phillip (b 1782), Thomas (b 1784), John (b 1786), and Jane (1787-1788). Seven of their children pre-deceased them but are not named on their gravestone which is located to the left of the porch as you are looking at the south side of the church.

Inscription
In Memory of Peter Renfree late of this parish who departed this life March 26th 1826, Aged 81 years. Also Elizabeth Renfree wife of the above who departed this life March 8th 1821, aged 75 years. Likewise seven of their children.
