Richard D."Dick" Cloud, age 70, of Fulton, Missouri peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, October 31, 2014 at University Hospital in Columbia Mo.
Dick was born December 24 1943, in Fulton, Missouri, the son of the late Neal Cloud and the late Katherine (Douglas) Cloud.
Dick was united in marriage to Linda Sims on June 14 1963. She preceded him in death on October 9, 2013.
Dick worked for the Missouri School for the Deaf for seventeen years. He was a member of First Christian Church. His hobbies included watching the Kansas City Chiefs and other sports.
Dick's memory will forever be cherished by daughter, Jennifer Cloud(Bob Laing) of Bonner Springs, Kansas; brother-in-law, Terry(Anita) Sims of Oakville, Missouri; sister-in-law, Lou Ann (Tom) Terrell of Olathe, Kansas; nephews Scott(Robin) Simms of Dallas, Texas and Paul (Teresa) Cloud; niece; Lisa Matthews of Columbia, Illinois; great nieces, Stacy Skinner and Amanda Cloud; great nephews, Fischer Simms and Joey and Jacob Matthews.
Along with his wife and parents, Dick was preceded in death by brother John Cloud and sister-in-law, Janet Cloud.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00p.m. on Wednesday, November 5 2014, at Maupin Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Private Family entombment will be held at Callaway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Dick's name to Fulton Betterment Foundation for the New Fulton Animal Shelter or to the Arthritis Foundation c/o Maupin Funeral Home 301 Douglas Blvd. Fulton Mo. 65251
