William Patrick Arthur Mahoney, 49, of Chesapeake, passed away Friday, October 24, 2014. Born in Norfolk, he was the son of Robert "Bobby" and Diane Mahoney. Pat was a 1983 graduate of Great Bridge High School and later graduated from Old Dominion University, where he served as Associate Justice of the Honor Court and was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi. He was a project manager for Electronic Systems, Inc., Virginia Beach.
Including his parents, Pat is survived by his brother, Dr. Kevin Mahoney and wife Teresa; his sister, Elizabeth Hansen and husband Lars; nieces, Lauren, Kate and Sarah; a nephew, Kevin; a step-son Justin Swanson and his mother, Becky; an uncle, and numerous loving aunts and cousins. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Great Bridge United Methodist Church. Rev. Tim Craig will officiate. The interment will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
