Lucas, Ruth Ann Lucas, 67, Jerusalem, Ohio, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006 in Barnsville Hospital. She was born May 22, 1938 near Malaga, a daughter of the late Floyd and Esther Groves Brown. She had been an employee of the US Postal Service for 25 years working out of the Jerusalem Post Office. Ruth Ann was a member of the Church of Christ, Jerusalem, where she was a Bible class teacher for many years and was also a member of the Monroe Singers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Raymond and a sister, Evelyn Ward.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Ed Lucas; her children: Edwina (Roger) Hickman , Jeff (Stacey) Lucas , Robin (Todd) Christman and Krista (Bruce) West ; a brother, Larry (Sondra) Brown; her stepmother, Geraldine Brown; five grand- children ; several nephews and nieces.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m., at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville, where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
