Pierce Sheaffer, well known in Adams County, died at the home of his son-in-law, William Witherow, in Toland, Cumberland County. Friday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock, from tuberculosis, aged 65 years. 2 months and 6 days.
He leaves his wife and the following children: David Sheaffer. of Carlisle: Frank Sheaffer. of Hummelstown; Theodore Sheaffer, of White Hill: Mrs. Horace Dougherty, ard Mrs. Charles Hinkle, of West Fairview; Mrs. William Witherow, of Toland; Mrs. Hort Sowers, of Hunters Run; Mrs. James Dasher, of Waynsboro: also the following brothers and sisters: Jeanette and George Sheaffer. of Mont Alto; Daniel Sheaffer, of Black Gap: Clarke Sheaffer, of Greencastle.
Mr Sheaffer has been in the employ of the Philadelphia Clay Company, of Cumberland county, for a period of eighteen years.
Funeral service at the home of Mrs. William Witherow, Sunday afternoon at 2:30. Interment in Mt. Holly Springs. Friends and relatives are asked to take this as notice of the funeral
