SARAH SHAW HIGGINS DICKSON, age 79, of Leesburg, Virginia passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012 at her home. Her greatest joys in life were her eternal family, homemaking, teaching children in her church, and temple service. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Allan Dickson, a brother Reid Higgins, and a sister Jeanie Parker. Survivors include her children Mark (Melody) Dickson, John (Shauna) Dickson, Lesley (Kaplin) Jones, Dana (Mark) Robison, Melaney (Daren) Tagg, Sarah (Ken) Richmond, Reid (Michelle) Dickson; her brother Duncan Higgins; her sisters Susan Keels and Anne Foote. Also surviving are 38 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2012 and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 801 Balls Bluff Rd., NE, Leesburg, VA 20176 where funeral services will follow at11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to General Temple Patron Assistant Fund of the LDS church.
