The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road, with the Rev. Robert L. Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Wren was a native of Hephzibah. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, served in the U.S. Navy and was a Baptist. He was owner-operator of R.E. Wren Jr. Construction Co.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Norton Wren, Wrens, Ga.; a son James E. Wren of Brunswick; and two daughters, Yvonne W. Clements, Augusta, and Norma Taylor, Chattanooga, Tenn.
