Miriam Mack Means
Memphis, Tennessee - BILLIE JANE MEANS, 88, passed away June 9, 2011 at Signature Healthcare at St. Francis. She is survived by three sisters, Maxine McCoy and Charlie Bell Waller of Memphis and Marguerite Simmons of Collierville, and a brother, Frank Means of Corsicana, TX. She sang with her three sisters as the Bennett Sisters with the Clyde McCoy orchestra in the 1940s and 1950s. Her body has been donated to the University of Tennessee Anatomical Bequest Program, as she requested. (Published in The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, TN, on June 12, 2011)
