An Australian Rules footballer. For a man who only scored one goal in his 143 game career, he achieved so much more. He was a part in Collingwood's first VFL premierships, in 1902 and 1903, and served the club later in several administrative positions.

He was also the President of the Australian National Football Council and the league treasurer. And he is credited with developing Collingwood's motto: Floreat Pica (May the Magpies Flourish).
