David, known for his quick, dry, wit, had been a farmer most of his life and later a used car dealer. He loved the outdoors, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. David was a member of First Baptist Church in Benton and the Woodmen of the World Lodge #117.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Harris Coursey of Benton, KY; a daughter, Christina Coursey Clark and her husband Chris of Benton, KY; his cherished granddaughters, Zorabelle Elizabeth Clark and Coralee Anne-Marie Clark; one sister, Charlotte Swift of Benton, KY; and one brother, Ken Coursey of Almo, KY.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister. His parents were James Norman Coursey and Elizabeth Anne Conner Coursey.

Services: Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Rev. Don Wilson and Rev. Royce Dukes will officiate and burial will follow in the Wadesboro Cemetery.
Visitation: The family will receive friends after 4:00PM Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
