Benjamin F. is the son of Benjamin Franklin Bradford and Mary Helen Cookson. He was united in marriage on 3 Jan 1875 in Eastport, Washington Co.,ME. to Mary Emma Hickey and they are the parents of ten children born in either, Eastport, Washington Co.,ME., or Deadman Island, Blacks Harbour, Charlotte Co.,NB.:

" The death of Benjamin Franklin, one of the village's oldest residents, occurred early Monday Morning last after a lingering illness at the advanced age of 89 years, 8 months and 27 days. Mr. Bradford was born in Saint Andrews and followed the sea in his earlier life, but for the past 46 years he has lived in
Blacks Harbour. He is the last of his generation and his wife predeceased him 42 years ago.

Surviving are four sons, Capt Beryn Bradford of New York, William J. Bradford of California, Roland H. Bradford, Blacks Harbour and Horace P. Bradford of Robbinson, Maine; three daughters, Mrs. Alden S.Dinsmore of Lubec, Maine; Mrs. Alice M. Spray and Mrs. Edward T. Thompson of Blacks Harbour; also 26 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
